3/3                                                   From October through to early May, heavy precipitation can result in an average snow fall of about 50 feet at higher altitudes. Native Americans once lived on the lowlands and moved up during the summer to hunt and collect fruit. They called the glacier covered mountain "Takhoma" or "Tahome", meaning "higher mountain" or "great snowy peak". Paradise Falls, Devils Dream, South Puyllup, Klapatche Park, Golden Lakes, Eagle Roost, Carbon River, Mystic Lake, Sunrise for a cheeseburger, Summerland, Indian Bar, Nickel Creek, Maple Creek, lunch at the Paradise Inn and home. Fantastic.
